Category Five Professional Consultants, Inc. offers a one day training package consisting of the National Incident Management System (NIMS), Hospital Incident Command System (HICS), Basic Emergency Management and a comprehensive Tabletop Exercise intended to improve and test the operational capability of your hospital’s Surge Capacity Planning, Evacuation Planning and Fatality Management. This training program will assist hospital planners in evaluating and refining their organization’s emergency preparedness plans. It will familiarize all hospital staff with internal and local area disaster plans and provide them with an opportunity to practice these plans in order to ultimately improve your facility’s capability to provide safe care and quality treatment and services during a natural or manmade disaster.
This competency-based training program complies with Emergency Management Standards EC.1.4, EC.2.9.1., and EC.4.1 of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO) and meets Critical Benchmarks 5 and 6 of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) National Bioterrorism Hospital Preparedness Program.
